Personal Statement
My name is Hayes Griggs, a senior offensive lineman (OG/C) at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas, class of 2027. I'm in the International Baccalaureate program and carry a 4.04 weighted GPA and a 90.88 cumulative average because I believe being a complete player means excelling academically. On the field, I have started on varsity since my sophomore year, earned 2025 District 5-5A 2nd Team All-District honors, and competed on the playoff stage. In the weight room, I finished 4th at THSPA 5A Region 3 Powerlifting Regionals with a 1,380 lb total. At 6'0" and 345 lbs, I am physical, coachable, and built for the next level. Football has taught me everything I need to build something beyond it. My goal is to play at the next level and use that platform to launch a game development company rooted in the same values the trenches taught me; teamwork, resilience, and a relentless belief in what's possible. I want to create games that don't just entertain, but inspire people to push through adversity and grow. I'm a football player, a student, a competitor, and a builder.
